The student council for my degree course worked with kothes to organise a workshop on creating technical documentation. Taking part in that workshop showed me that the job of technical editor is not just about describing actions and safety instructions, but also offers many other interesting and challenging aspects. After the workshop I kept in touch with kothes and joined the company as a student worker in April 2017.
During my daily work, which consists of writing manuals and risk assessments, I frequently face the challenge of examining a wide range of products (mainly from the field of mechanical engineering) and getting to understand them. I often gain exciting insights into many different areas.
One, I enjoy satisfying our customers by providing them with the product that is right for them.
I also enjoy discovering new ways for user information in the world of documentation, and experiencing and influencing implementation in areas such as AR/VR or the use of chat bots etc.
