Visualisation

When it comes to preparing information to suit specific audiences, visualisation plays an essential role. Good visual assistance helps users absorb and understand information quickly, enabling them to act competently. Sometimes a good visualisation can even replace text information completely.

Good illustrations improve the value of an informational product and make a good impression on the user. They pare the display down to the essentials and thereby guide the user’s eye.

We offer a wide variety of imaging styles for technical documentation:

  • Line drawings from 3D models (also with fillings or as hybrid representations from vectors and photorealistic renderings)
  • Line drawings of photos (also with fillings and gradients)
  • Assembly drawings and exploded drawings

Photographs can illustrate almost any situation in order to convey information on practical matters. Photos not only show the object itself, but can also indicate the appropriate handles/positioning, tools, and personal protective equipment.

For optimal presentation, the digital photos are processed during the technical editorial process (this includes professional image processing as well as completion with position numbers/call-outs and motion arrows as standard). Optionally, we can increase the visual value of the images via cropping and transparency.

Exclusive photographs of your machines or equipment in extremely high quality, taken by an industrial photographer with professional photographic equipment, can be used in Technical Documentation, as well as in Marketing.

Animations are ideal for depicting abstract relationships such as material flows, circuits, or principles of action. Even in action sequences (e.g. complex assembly procedures) animations make the information much easier to grasp. Training documents, product descriptions (bothh presales and aftersales) as well as action sequences are therefore significantly enhanced.

The most important principle when using animations is the didactic concept: Already during the planning stage, it is important to determine which purpose is to be achieved in order to set a clear focus for production. In addition, it must be determined to what extent the animation is provided with supporting visual elements and texts, so that the image statement is understandable for the intended target audience.

During 3D rendering, a photo-realistic display is created from a 3D model and its colours and surface structure are realistically adapted. By editing the model, it is possible to manipulate components until they reproduce a required scene precisely, which ensures that knowledge of complex issues can be conveyed quickly.

Select 3D renderings in two incremental levels:

  • Standard quality, which we can be imported from almost any source format of your design and process in the technical editorial process.
  • "High Quality" with an even more vivid representation for higher demands: The results are absolutely market-ready and are also suitable for illustrations appearing on websites and in product brochures.
