NORDIC TechKomm 2026 will take place on 23 and 24 September 2026 at Scandic Sydhavnen in Copenhagen. Under the motto “Level up your Technical Communication”, the conference is aimed at everyone looking to shape technical communication strategically and future-proof it – from information architecture through to current norms and standards.

kothes will be represented on site by Christoph Beenen

In his talk, “Metadata Lives Forever: Keeping Documentation Useful Across Long Lifecycles”, on 24 September from 09:55 to 10:40 (CEST) in the “Titanium” room, he will show how metadata ensure technical documentation remains usable for decades –even as systems, formats and tools change multiple times. Using practical examples, he will explain how a robust metadata model supports reuse, variant management and modular content and how AI can help with classification and migration without relinquishing editorial control over the content.

If you would like to discuss issues such as metadata strategy, CCMS, modular documentation or the use of AI in technical communication, Christoph will be available for personal conversations throughout the conference.

You can find more information about NORDIC TechKomm 2026 on the event website. Details of the talk “Metadata Lives Forever: Keeping Documentation Useful Across Long Lifecycles”, as well as an option to add the session to your conference schedule, can be found in the programme.

We would be delighted if you take the opportunity to meet kothes and Christoph Beenen in person in Copenhagen and take away fresh ideas for future-proof technical documentation.
