Greetings from the AIM, which once again took place on the premises of Aalen University on 18 October 2017. The Aalener Industrie Messe (Aalen Industrial Trade Fair) is organised every year by students at Aalen University. It creates connections between the university and industrial enterprises in the region.
Our colleagues on-site – Anne Schonert, Technical Editor at our Konstanz office (middle), Mandy Leidl (left), who is currently completing an internship in Stuttgart as part of her studies at Aalen University, and Anne van Overbrüggen (right) from the HR department in Kempen – were there to answer questions from interested students. That allowed us to provide an insight into the exciting work of a Technical Editor and also present the option of completing an internship with kothes. Of course we were also ready to answer questions relating to pay and to the introductory training given during the internship. We were very pleased that the job of technical editor stirred a lot of interest among mechanical and electrical engineering students.
We would also like to thank Professor Dr Constance Richter, who has been campaigning in Aalen for many years to make course content more professional and align it with the requirements of the modern labour market.
